This help article explains how to set the owners of a property in MagicDoor.

Use this article as a reference when onboarding new owners, transferring ownership, or updating ownership percentages across your portfolio.
Step 1: Assign a Property From the Owner Profile
Use this method when managing ownership from the owner's perspective.
- From the left-side navigation, select Users
- Select Owners
- Click on the owner you want to assign a property to
- In the Properties section, click Add Property
- Select the property they own
- Enter the Ownership Percentage
- Click Save
The property is now linked to the owner with the specified ownership share.
Step 2: Assign or Modify Owners From a Property
Use this method when working directly within a property.
- From the left-side navigation, select Properties
- Click on the property you want to update
- At the top of the page, locate the Quick Action module
- Click Modify Owner
- Click Add Owner
- Select the owner
- Enter the Ownership Percentage
- Click Save
You can also adjust ownership percentages for existing owners from this screen.
Step 3: View Owner Shares
Owner percentages can be reviewed at any time from the property page.
- Scroll to the bottom of the property page
- Locate the Owner Share section to see a breakdown of all assigned ownership percentages
